Your home is a microcosm of your life. Could painting your living space help you claim your place more broadly in the world? I say, absolutely.
When my border collie and I first moved to New York City in the late 1990s, I rented a tiny apartment a block from the Washington Square Park dog run and painted it bright colombia blue. I was intent on making a home for myself in the city and somehow, to me that meant seriously bold paint!
I’ve spent the last two decades studying, observing, experimenting with, and nourishing my passion for interior color, including exploring the intersection of hue, home, and personal empowerment. My tastes have evolved but my goal has stayed the same: to identify colors that join together the three things I care about—current you, future you, and the unique architectural features of your space. Because I believe that your home should be a haven for who you are now and a constant inspiration for who you are becoming.
